Minutes of the Blair Hills Association, Culver City, California, held at the Stoneview Nature Center at 7:00PM on the 18th day of June 2019.

 

I.             CALL TO ORDER

               Kerri Payne-Lui called the meeting to order at 7:20pm.

 

II.           ROLL CALL OF OFFICERS

               Present: Annie Wilson, Kerri Payne-Lui, Angela Arnold, Antoinette Lowe, Andrea

               Absent:

 

III.          APPROVAL OF THE MINUTES OF THE REGULAR MEETING (May 21, 2019)

Motion by Antoinette, seconded by Kerri to approve the minutes of the Regular Meeting of May 2019, Motion Carried

              

IV.          Current Financial Condition 

 

V.           Announcements

·        Annual Block Party – Saturday, August 3rd

·        Ribbon Cutting Ceremony for Blair Hills Park – Ceremony was held this Tuesday, pictures in the Culver City paper

·        Summer Concert Series – at Culver City Hall, starts July 11, six performances over the summer

 

VI.          New business

·        Marissa Yabko, new Community Relations Officer, and Sargent Loken, current Traffic Supervisor 

o   Troy Dunlap, former Community Relations Officer, is now in charge of the new mid-day shift for CCPD

o   Several recent residential robberies have not been break ins but due to open windows, etc. Be careful about leaving windows and garage doors open.

o   Culver City traffic Engineer estimates that 3-4 million cars go through Culver City every 24 hours

o   5 officers are assigned to traffic; They try to come up here and monitor stop signs at rush hour

o   Nixle is a service that provides community alerts –Text your zip code to 888777 to receive community updates

o   Citizen’s Police Academy is full this year.

o   Tuesday August 6 is National Night Out at Veteran’s Park

o   GoRequest is an app that allows you to take a picture and share a problem with the city

o   The Front Desk phone number is best to call with non-emergency problems (310-253-6208)

o   Call the Front Desk to make a vacation patrol request. Police will drive by your house while you are out of town.

·        Discussion of how to get more neighbors to attend the meeting

 

 

Kerri made a motion to adjourn the meeting at 8:17pm. Seconded by Annie. Motion Carried.
